THE DAYCROFT PARENT GUILD
Daycroft Parent Guild
Daycroft Parent Guild
The Daycroft Parent Guild is a parent-run organization that actively supports Daycroft and its mission. The school community is strengthened by the Guild’s efforts to create a close working relationship between parents and the faculty, while supplementing the educational curriculum. All Daycroft parents are members of the Parent Guild and are encouraged to participate.
HOW CAN I HELP?
There are many opportunities during the year to help with Parent Guild events. These opportunities range from working a shift at an event and/or making donations, to organizing the event itself. Volunteers are what make these programs a success! To find out more, see the list of events below or email ParentGuild@daycroft.org.
See our line-up of special events to find activities for which you can volunteer. Check Daycroft’s online school calendar for the dates and times of the Daycroft Parent Guild’s upcoming meetings and events.

Teacher Holiday Gifts
Each year, families make donations (typically cash) to be dispersed to the staff and teachers at Daycroft to brighten their holidays.
Each year the Parent Guild sponsors a winter social event. The 2022 event was a Winter Hike and Social at Robin Hills Farm in Chelsea, Michigan. The event was held in the Glasshouse, with beautiful winter views of the property. The event included sledding, pizza, drinks, s'mores, and a winter hike and scavenger hunt. The 2023 event was a Family Movie Outing for the entire school. The Parent Guild rented the local Emagine Theater and families joined the fun together watching an age appropriate movie.
The Spring Benefit is Daycroft's biggest fundraising and social event of the year. It is typically held at an off-site location. The themed event includes music, activities, drinks and dinner, a silent and live auction.
Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, the DPG plans several events to show the teachers and staff at Daycroft how much we appreciate them. Last year’s events included an adult book fair, a snack bar, lunch, breakfast, and flowers for all of the teachers.
Field Day is a day to celebrate the end of the school year with fun age-appropriate, organized games on the front lawn or playgrounds. The day culminates with a visit from the fire truck and their fire hose.
